As Project Installation Engineer for the Corrugating Machinery Division you will lead an installation team of experienced mechanical/electrical engineers and subcontractors throughout the region. You also describe, plan and report on the progress of the projects that your team carries out for the company, and “owner” of the project until acceptance by the customer within the agreed installation schedule. In this role it is important that you have organizational skills, can set a vision for the long term and can anticipate on trends and developments within the market. It’s important that you have gained experience within a technical environment. To make sure that you can guide your team in a result oriented and independent way as a coaching leader. In this role you will report to the Deputy General Manager. Therefore, it is important to keep your manager informed with running projects and discuss the progress of each project. The role will assume the following responsibilities
Track the forecast and priority of works and the team capacity in order to meet business critical requirements;
Responsible for installation capacity planning and accountable for optimized resource utilization;
Is monitoring the quality of installation subcontractors;
Lead a team of skilled mechanical/electrical engineers and delegate installation work appropriately throughout assigned territories;
Communicate well with stakeholders internally and externally and gain insight into current and future projects to ensure that the installation schedule is filled in accurately and adjusted when needed in a timely manner. Make sure all preparations are done properly to ensure a flawless installation. Communicate changes accordingly with all persons involved
Follow up the progress of each installation project, deadlines, budget control and project closure including machine acceptance with punch list, if required;
Facilitate all required reporting, documentation and materials (drawings/check sheets/contact person of the customer/ tools/toolbox etc.) in a timely manner to mechanical/electrical engineers;
Is responsible for continuous improvement of safety, quality and productivity
Ensure a safe work environment for our mechanical/electrical engineers. You make sure you have checked this with the customer and ensure that customer as well as mechanical/electrical engineers are acting compliant with health and safety regulations;
Stay in contact with customers and carry out calls and sending out questionnaires on a regularly base to gage and ensure satisfaction levels
Job requirements
Proven Leadership Skills (5 – 10 years);
